A few weeks ago, I started putting little observations about people on the internet.
Then I started telling stories.
Then people started reading them.
And now, apparently, we have a publication.
Welcome to We Are a Consistent People.
I have always been fascinated by people. What we do. What we say. What we don’t say. The ridiculous things we repeat while remaining completely convinced that this time we’re doing something entirely different.
Including me.
Especially me.
That’s what you’ll find here: stories about family, friendship, work, strangers, dogs, questionable decisions, and the tiny human behaviors that give us away every single time.
Some will be funny.
Some won’t be.
Most will contain language your grandmother would not appreciate.
Unless your grandmother was my mother.
Then we’re probably fine.
There is no grand lesson coming at the end of every story. Sometimes people are just fucking fascinating.
And remarkably predictable.
We are a consistent people.
